Essential Preference Cookies

The timoula_language cookie stores the user's language preference (English or Greek). It is set when the user picks a language, or opens a page whose address includes a language (for example ?lang=en).

This cookie is retained for 1 year and is necessary to display the website in the user's preferred language. It is not used for advertising or tracking purposes and does not require consent under applicable ePrivacy and GDPR regulations.

When the user opens a friend's invite link on timoula.com and taps to get the app, the page saves the invite code in a first-party cookie named timoula_pending_invite, kept for 30 days, and in the browser's localStorage under the same name, kept until the user clears their browser data. The code is also copied to the clipboard, so it can be entered after installing the app.

When a shared product link opens the app automatically, the page notes this in the browser's sessionStorage (timoula_open_app_ followed by the product number), so it does not open the app again when the user returns to the page. This entry is removed when the tab is closed.

These entries hold only the invite code or that note, and are not used for advertising or tracking.

Website Analytics Without Cookies

timoula uses Vercel Web Analytics to better understand website traffic and usage. Vercel Web Analytics does not place persistent cookies on the user's device.

Instead, it collects anonymized and aggregated information, such as page URLs, referrers, and country-level location data. No identifying information is stored in the browser, and website visits cannot be linked to an individual user.

No Advertising or Third-Party Tracking Cookies

The website does not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook pixels, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

When a user signs in on the website, a first-party session_token cookie keeps them signed in. It cannot be read by page scripts (HttpOnly), lasts up to 30 days, and is deleted when the user signs out. It is required to keep users signed in and is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

Managing Cookies

Users can delete or block cookies at any time through their browser settings.

However, if the language preference cookie is blocked, the selected language may not be saved and may revert to the default setting on future visits.
